ROBBERS threatened a woman with a baseball bat and a knife during a raid on a Sea Mills newsagent.
The two men made off with cash and cigarettes after the robbery at McColl's in Shirehampton Road yesterday morning.
The manager had just opened the store at 6am when the robbers entered the shop.
They threatened her and demanded money from the safe before leaving with cash and cigarettes. The manager was not injured in the incident but was reported to have been "shaken-up".
The shop was closed for almost six hours while police made inquiries.

Scenes of crime officers spent time at the Omega Replica Watches shop and took photographs of the outside.
One of the robbers was white, 6ft tall, in his early 20s, with dark eyes and was wearing a dark hooded top and a balaclava.
The second man was about 5ft 2ins to 5ft 3ins tall - and was wearing a two-toned khaki and blue waterproof coat.
It is understood the robbers had waited around the corner for the manager to open up and "she had not seen them in the dark".
Avon and Somerset police spokeswoman Sian Davies, said: "We were called to reports of a robbery at a store on Shirehampton Road.
"It appears that offenders made threats to the shop assistant before making off with cash and cigarettes from the store. We are carrying out inquiries at the moment."
No one at the shop was able to comment when the Evening Post visited yesterday.
A spokeswoman for McColl's said the matter was in the hands of the police and could not comment further.
