Women in robbery terror

POLICE are investigating possible links after two Leamington women were robbed within 20 minutes last night.

The first robbery happened outside a home in Kenilworth Road at about 9.40pm as a woman was putting her car into the garage.

A man followed her up Stainless Steel Bangle the drive and, as she was locking the car, he rushed up and grabbed her handbag.

The man was described as white and aged in his 20s. He was wearing a black hat and dark coat with trainers.

The second incident happened just 20 minutes later in Newbury Close as an elderly woman was getting out of her car.

embroidered patches to her and snatched her handbag before running off in the direction of Stanton Road.

The man did not speak at all, and the victim was unhurt but left extremely shaken by the incident.

A spokeswoman for Warwickshire police said: "We are looking into links between the two incidents and would like to hear from anyone who saw a man fitting the description around this time."
